Step 1
Sign-Up for Diaper Service
Fill out our Build Your Start Up Package Form or contact our office and we will help you sign up for service! We have helped hundreds of people get started with cloth diapering and are happy to answer all of your questions. Not sure what you need? No problem! We will give you a complete description of all our service options and help you through the entire process.
Step 2
Schedule Pre-birth Delivery
Schedule your pre-birth delivery. For your convenience, we can bring your first delivery of cloth diapers to you 1-2 weeks before your due date so you have diapers at home ready to use. We then put your account on hold until we hear from you that your baby has arrived and you are ready for service to begin on a routine basis. We ask that the hold period not be greater than 4 weeks after the initial delivery. If your baby is already here, we can get you started right away and deliver as soon as you’d like!
Step 3
Customize!
Customize your order. Your pre-birth delivery of diapers will be individualized to meet your specific diapering needs! However, most initial deliveries include the following items:
- Cloth Diapers/ All-in-Two Inserts – Pre-birth delivery includes half of your ordered amount. (e.g. If you sign up for 80 diapers per week, you will get 40 for your pre-birth delivery). If you start off quickly after your baby is born and need an additional delivery the first week, just let us know and we will run out a special delivery at no charge.
- Diaper Pail – On loan and to be returned at end of service.
- Deodorizer Disc – You will receive one free per month upon request. The deodorizer disc fits in the lid of the pail. Look for the little slot along the back rim of the lid and slide the disc in.
- Diaper Pail Liner – You will use the blue bag that your diapers are delivered in to line your pail.
- Diaper Covers – We offer Thirsties, Rumparooz,and Imagine Prefold Diaper Covers and Best Bottoms and Imagine All-in-Two Covers in all sizes from birth to 35 pounds. Our Basic Prefold Service includes a Diaper Cover Rental Program. We offer Best Bottoms and Imagine All-in-Two Diaper Covers for purchase to our customers using our Premium All-in-Two Plan or Hybrid Plan. Most of our clients start with at least 4 to 7 covers.
- Cloth Diapering Tutorial – Mother Nature’s Diaper Service offers a free cloth diapering tutorial with pre-birth delivery to all new customers who reside within our greater Madison delivery area. During your tutorial, your Mother Nature’s Diaper Service consultant will walk you through everything that comes with our cloth diaper service including prefold cloth diapers/ all-in-two inserts, cloth diaper covers, diaper pail, pail liners, deodorizers, as well as, other product offerings. Your consultant will also demonstrate how to use the products in your pre-birth delivery for diapering.
Your in-home tutorial will include the following:- Learn how to fold prefold cloth diapers with or without a Snappi
- Learn how the All-in-Two insert diapering system works
- Receive tips on how to add extra absorbency by “doubling up” with prefolds or inserts for naps and overnight
- Review the special features of our Thirsties, Rumperooz, Best Bottoms and Imagine Prefold Diaper Covers & All-in-Two Diaper Covers
- An opportunity to let us answer all of your questions about what to expect with our great service!
Step 4
Leave the washing to us
Leave all the washing to us! Do not rinse or soak your soiled diapers. (We only ask that you “plop” any plop-able poop in the toilet.) Simply, place your soiled diapers in the bag in your diaper pail. But, do be careful not to drop disposable baby wipes or other garbage into the pail with your soiled diapers. On pick-up day, tie your bag securely and place it on your porch or predesignated pick up area.
Step 5
Delivery and Pick Up
Once routine service begins, our delivery person will provide weekly cloth diaper delivery and pick-up right to your door. On your scheduled pick-up day, please leave your bag of dirty diapers out by 8:00am. If your payment is due, you can include your payment in your payment envelope and attach it to your bag at pick up. Delivery times may vary due to weather, traffic, or work load.
Step 6
As your baby grows
As a baby grows and develops, diapering needs change. We offer cloth prefolds, inserts, and diaper covers from birth to 35 pounds. When you are ready for a new size or need to adjust your order of cloth diapers, please contact us 2 business days in advance so we can ensure that your next delivery of clean cloth diapers has exactly what you need.
